Firepunk Diesel started with very humble beginnings in 2009. Lavon built transmissions in his free-time in the old milking parlor at the Kauffman Farm in rural Plain City. Initially, Lavon was a one-man operation. He removed the transmissions, rebuilt and reinstalled the transmissions in one day. As word spread of the quality of product Lavon was producing, he brought in Matt Kauffman to help work on the trucks, and his brother, Lyn, to help with customer builds and fabrication. All of this work was done in a small 20×30 tool shed on the Kauffman Farm property.

In 2013, the opportunity presented itself for Firepunk to move to their current location on Lafayette-Plain City Road. Since the move to our current location, Firepunk Diesel has grown to over 25 employees, a full-service shop, custom fabrication shop, powder coating services and continues to provide quality Dodge Ram Transmissions for any customer need.
