2026 MANDATORY RULES (NO EXCEPTIONS – VIOLATION = DQ + NO REFUND)


1. **Engine Management**
 - Factory OEM ECM only: Dodge/Ram, Chevrolet/GMC, or Ford
 - Engine swaps/repowers allowed but engine must be 100% controlled by one of the three OEM ECMs listed
 - NO aftermarket/standalone ECM of any kind (MoTeC, Bosch, Haltech, ECUmasters, Holley, FuelTech, etc.)
 - OEM ECM may be tuned/unlocked/reflashed
2. **Intercooler Rules**
 - Air-to-Air Intercooling only – Liquid, C02, or Any other cooling systems for intercooler are prohibited
 - Exception – Ford 6.7L Powerstroke may retain factory air-to-water system ONLY if:
 • OEM heat exchanger, OEM water pump, OEM-style plumbing
 • Drop-in replacement core allowed
 • NO ice, NO remote tanks, NO secondary pumps, NO extra reservoirs
 - Ford 6.7L may remove factory air-to-water completely and run air-to-air (recommended)
3. **Transmission & Launch Rules**
 - Foot-brake ONLY
 - NO trans brake, NO bump box
 - Standalone or aftermarket transmission controllers ARE allowed
 - Trans brake buttons must be disconnected if vb is equipped
4. **Nitrous / Injectables / Propane / Any Power Adder**
 - 100% BANNED
 - NO bottles, NO solenoids, NO lines, NO nozzles, NO brackets, NO hidden systems anywhere
 - Any evidence found = immediate DQ + banned from future Seventy 2 Fast events
5. **Weight**
 - 6,000 lb minimum with driver weighed post-run, NO margin of error (5999lbs = DQ)
 - All ballasts must be bolted or welded in place, NO temporary ratchet straps to hold ballasts in place
6. **1x Turbo - VSRacing 72/89/1.01 T4 Dual Ball Bearing – SKU: ST1Z-D45-31T **
 - ZERO modifications to turbo allowed (no polishing, coating, welding, machining, clipping, MAP groove modification)
7. **Fuel**
 - Diesel fuel only – no additives that require a bottle or solenoid
8. **Tires**
 - Slicks, radials, racing tires permitted
 - Maximum size: 33 inches (measured mounted and inflated)
9. **Safety**
 - Competitors are responsible to meet current NHRA/IHRA safety equipment for projected ET/speed
10. **Racing Format**
 - Instant green (no amber on tree drop) & Win light only – NO time slips shown or given
 - Red light = loss (first foul is round loss in the event of double red light)
 - Chip draw every round – no fixed ladder - Single Elimination
11. **Inspections & Protests**
 - Pre/post-race: weight, Turbo inspection, visual nitrous/power-adder sweep
 - Turbo Protest: Any competitor can protest another competitor’s turbo for $800 cash on the spot to a tech official.
The protested truck must immediately pull its turbo completely off the truck for full inspection and measurement. If the turbo is 100% legal → protested competitor keeps the turbo + gets the $800 for his trouble. If the turbo is modified/illegal → protested competitor is DQ’d immediately and forfeits the turbo to the tech inspector and goes home empty handed labeled a cheater + the $800 goes back to the protester.
- Rule Protest: $500 to protest class rules being broken by fellow competitor, the protester is refunded the $500 if protest is valid and rules were broken, if no rules were broken, the $500 goes to the competitor who was audited.
- Immediate DQ for any competitor breaking class rules during competition
12. **Impound Lot Between Rounds (Mandatory – Violation = DQ)**
 -Immediately after each round, winners must proceed directly to the scales to verify they are over the 6000lb minimum weight, then straight to the designated Seventy 2 Fast Impound Lot. No stops anywhere else on the property.
 -Once in impound, trucks may NOT leave the impound lot until their next round is called to the lanes or eliminations are over. All competing trucks in impound will be parked together in full view of each other and all other competitors (self-policing).
 -Between round pit work between rounds is permitted (bring tools, generator, fans, fuel, etc to the impound lot) If you need to return the truck to your trailer for any reason, you may do so ONLY with a tech official escort/permission.
13. **No Test passes at Indy before Eliminations **
 -This means NO Thursday or Friday test passes, NO double classing, If you make a pass in an ODSS class before Seventy 2 Fast eliminations, you forfeit your class entry and NO REFUND will be given.
