This makes it the perfect pump for high RPM race applications that spin beyond 4500 RPM.

Note: 550 Alpha pumps will require a different supply line. The original supply port is plugged.  This plug should never be removed. The fuel supply is fed directly into the billet gear pump housing at the port labeled "Inlet". The Duramax 550 Alpha pumps are an LBZ based pump with a stock LBZ fuel pressure regulator for optimum rail pressure control without impeding max pump performance. Custom tuning and supporting modifications will be required. Primary fuel supply requirement for max pump performance: 200 GPH @ 8-10 psi per Pump.
